The family of Walter Gorham Hallett, Jr., spent three days of ceremony and celebration in Barnstable Thanksgiving weekend 2009. Our father, Walter, who passed away on Dec. 23, 2008, was interred in the National Cemetery in Bourne in 2009. We celebrated his life on Nov. 28, 2009, at a ceremony at the National Cemetery, conducted by two National Honor Guards, to whom we owe much thanks.
